Bounced up & down the St. Lawrence and Great Lakes for college in Montreal and Waterloo (ON), law school in Quebec City ('08), Federal policy work in Ottawa's Parliament (2009-2013), and early Bitcoin years (2013-2016) in Toronto. Squeezed living in France (student), Korea (teacher), Japan (lawyer), and Barbados (sovereign-snowbird) for a few years along the way. This content aims to record life in the 2020's where everyone needs to beat the bankers and policy makers. So, how do people win? First, you gotta break up with the crazy ex-fiat system. Then you gotta build your treasure in bitcoin. Then you gotta share royalties with the people who helped you stack those sats.
As a visitor, you are part of a fantastic community. If you become a follower, you'll be along for the user activated soft fork of the global financial system.
Long bio: Nolan Bauerle, formerly a strategist with Coindesk and Kraken Digital Asset Exchange, hosts a daily show called the Breakup which focuses on our economic turning from dollars to bitcoin. He is also author of Satoshi Wedding Murders, a cypherpunk novel exploring the intersections of omnipresent artificial intelligence, universal Bitcoin adoption, and the dark side of humanity. Nolan’s work with Bitcoin began in 2012 with a long term study of cryptocurrencies for the Canadian Senate Banking Committee. After convincing the committee to study Bitcoin, he helped select witnesses and draft the report while also dreaming up a fun publicity stunt — as the report was tabled in Parliament, it was also simultaneously hashed into the Bitcoin blockchain (block #361625). He believes we stand at the brink of a systemic revolution through the personal use and widespread deployment of Bitcoin.
Short bio: Nolan Bauerle writes, produces, and creates content related to our shift from a fiat to Bitcoin standard as a measure economic production.
Fun bio: Nolan's work with Bitcoin began in 2012 when he had an interest in money laundering. After he learned it also worked well to buy drugs, he thought the same qualities could make it great for many other things. Since then, he became a student of cryptography, decentralized systems, cryptoeconomics and the theory of the firm.
